3DBigDataSpace at CHNT 2025: Connecting AI, XR and 3D Technologies for Digital Urban & Architectural History
CHNT 2025 offered a vibrant stage for 3DBigDataSpace to highlight how data-driven technologies are reshaping the study, preservation, and communication of architectural and urban heritage. Together with XRculture and 3D-4CH, our booth became a hub of experimentation from holo-pyramids and VR immersion to demonstrations of our smart 3D integration workflows.

One of the standout contributions of 3DBigDataSpace was its strong presence in the UHDL Workshop, which brought together researchers from across Europe to present methodologies and applications at the intersection of AI, 3D modelling, and urban history. The workshop demonstrated how data harmonisation and large-scale 3D environments provide new research infrastructures for historical cities.

We also celebrated a milestone: the launch of Pilgrim’s 3D an immersive mobile experience developed at the Universidade de Vigo that enhances cultural routes like the Camino de Santiago and the Vía Romea with AR storytelling and 3D visualisation.

Across all conference days, 3DBigDataSpace reaffirmed its mission: to integrate, connect, and visualise cultural heritage data at scale, bringing architectural and urban history to new audiences through powerful digital tools.

We remain grateful to our collaborators including 3D-4CH, DIGICHer, ISPRS, MetaHeritage, Time Machine Organisation, XRculture and many more who make this ecosystem possible.
