Join Us in Poznań: Exploring the Future of Cultural Heritage Technologies

On 1 July 2026, cultural heritage professionals, researchers, policymakers, technology developers, and innovators from across Europe will gather in Poznań, Poland, for the Forum on the Future of Cultural Heritage Technologies.

Organised as the final showcase event of the 3DBigDataSpace project in collaboration with XRculture and 3D-4CH – Online Competence Centre in 3D for Cultural Heritage, the forum will bring together leading experts to explore how 3D technologies, data spaces, artificial intelligence, and extended reality (XR) are transforming the cultural heritage sector.

The event will take place in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person at the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) or online via live streaming.

Programme Highlights

The day will begin with opening remarks from project representatives and the European Commission, followed by a keynote session dedicated to the future of the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage.

A major focus of the event will be the presentation of the 3DBigDataSpace platform and tools, including demonstrations of viewers, geolocation services, classification tools, optimisation technologies, and real-world use cases from project partners.

The event will conclude with the panel discussion “Beyond the Horizon: A Unified Roadmap for Europe’s 3D Cultural Heritage”, bringing together representatives from the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage, 3DBigDataSpace, XRculture, and 3D-4CH. The discussion will explore how Europe can build a sustainable ecosystem that supports the full lifecycle of digital cultural heritage—from 3D data creation to long-term reuse and immersive experiences.
